The First Hill Line in Seattle is unique because it uses hybrid technology and half of the tracks do not have an overhead wire. There are so many trolleybus wires already over the streets and intersections that eliminating one streetcar wire greatly simplifies the catenary network.

What a delightfully relaxing slice-of-life adventure! Absolutely love it! (Will admit, two rail vehicles (let alone passenger rail) operating in the same track circuit/block like that looks totally crazy, speaking as someone used to the USA safety rules)
I was surprised also that the tram was following so close to the maintenance vehicle! Although in downtown areas trams follow each other very close. In Zurich they operate as if they are buses, stopping just a few inches from the tram in front of them, and also following relatively closely when moving.

As pessoas se esquecem que em breve, com o sistema de trens metropolitanos, passaremos de 400 km de trilhos, inclusive esse sistema aparece no vídeo, 3:58, e possui ar condicionado em todos os trens, algo que o metrô só conseguirá com a compra de 44 novos trens para a extensão da L2. Mas são apenas 11 trens sem ar-condicionado. Estão finalizando a implantação do CBTC na L3, última linha do metrô e iniciarão a implantação também nas linhas de trens metropolitanos, primeiramente na L10, linha que aparece no vídeo. Abraços!
